St. Louis-Stuttgart (Germany) Sister Cities (SLSSC) will celebrate 65 years of a transatlantic alliance at a November 14, 2025, anniversary gala at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac Hotel. SLSSC is the oldest sister city organization in St. Louis and one of the first German-American sister city partnerships after World War Two.
Joining dignitaries from the Greater St. Louis area will be Stuttgart’s Deputy Mayor Dr. Clemens Maier, who directs the department of Regulations, Security and Sports. His delegation and representatives of Stuttgart’s Sister Cities department will be honored guests at the gala.
Join the fun and experience the kick-off of the German carnival season. Other entertainment to include acrobatics by St. Louis’ own Circus Harmony, a musical presentation by the Lindbergh High School Strolling Strings, performances of German ethnic dancing, and many exciting surprises.
The gala’s primary mission is to generate public support for cultural, business and student exchanges between St. Louis. Missouri, and Stuttgart, Germany. The gala will feature a 50/50 Drawing and several other opportunities to provide financial support

A portion of the proceeds will go to the SLSSC scholarship fund.

The Peace Through Pyramids partnership between Circus Harmony and Circus Circuli started in the first year of the pandemic, 2020, which coincided with the 60th anniversary of St. Louis and Stuttgart being sister cities. Through multiple virtual meetings, the partnership created Sister City Circus – a video celebrating the two cities. Last summer, the participants met in person in Stuttgart. This year, with financial support from St. Louis Stuttgart Sister Cities, Circus Circuli is coming to St. Louis from July 26 to August 9, 2024!
